I Do is a small town bridal boutique located downtown Shelbyville, Ky on 610 Main Street which opened its doors on December 3, 2016. With the overwhelming support from family, friends and the community I DO has blossomed into a leading bridal boutique in the Louisville area!
Amber and Susan hold I Do close to their hearts being the first bridal salon in Shelbyville, they thrive to differentiate their boutique from all others. At I Do we want to bring back the tradition of the bride and make the beginning of every girls big day as special as they have always envisioned. With The focus is the bride at I Do, and we will exceed every expectation with our exceptional customer service. How you may ask? At I DO it is about the quality of service and not the quantity of brides. We limit the number of brides we see a day, Even on Saturdays so that we are able to offer private 2 hour appointments so that every bride gets one on one time and has no interruptions. This allows us to get to know our brides and build relationships, because the experience is what we are here for!

As a University of Kentucky graduate with a Bachelors in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles and Business Administration, my passion for fashion consumes all my love for all fashion trends day in and day out. I am married to Susan's oldest son, and am the second piece of this dynamic "mother and daughter duo". The biggest thing that stood out to me while on the search for my wedding dress was the impersonal experience I had shopping. Big box stores, and some smaller boutiques were missing the one-on-one relationship I thought I'd receive. Instead, I felt like "just another number". Always envisioning owning my own boutique, I could not be more pleased than to be in the wedding industry and making brides feel beautiful while helping them find that perfect wedding dress that fits their style, personality, budget, and most importantly giving them the experience they have always dreamed."

"Tired of the corporate world and wanting to get back into owning my own business, I pondered for more than two years the idea of bringing a bridal boutique to my hometown of Shelbyville, Ky. I found my passion working in the industry doing cosmetics for 20+ years with the highlight of my career working for Chanel. There was nothing more satisfying than accomplishing that perfect look for a beautiful bride on her wedding day. I was blown away with all the venues the Shelby Co area offered, as well catering, florist, and hair and nail salons, but what stood out the most was a bride didn't have a resource for one of the most important pieces of that big day. This town was missing wedding dresses! That is when I, alongside with my daughter in law opened our doors December 3, 2016 to fill that huge void of wedding planning.

After receiving a degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles from the University of Kentucky, my husband and I moved to Charleston, SC where we spent 7 incredible years. That is where I found my love for the wedding industry. Charleston is the wedding capitol of the country (there are more weddings there than in Las Vegas!) I was in the right place at the right time. I was lucky to have 6 years of experience working with some of the industry’s best professionals, got to travel the country to assist in wedding gown buys, and really developed an eye for what brides are looking for and their unique styles. It is such a pleasure to be a part of someone’s most special day of their life and I am so honored to help style and complete that vision for our brides! When I’m not thinking about wedding gowns, I am at my farm my husband and I purchased in 2019, riding or showing my American Quarter horse, playing with my pet rabbit named Buns, finding exciting new places to hike and travel to, or simply spending time with family.
